This agreement covers designing and building a website as described above. The work, price and any deposit are: [DESCRIBE THE WORK, THE TOTAL PRICE AND ANY DEPOSIT].

The Provider will carry out that work for the Client on the terms below.

Fees are as set out above. Invoices are due within 14 days. Overdue balances may accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

  3. 03Revisions

  4. 04Ownership of work

On full payment, ownership of the final deliverables passes to the client. The provider keeps its pre-existing tools, templates and know-how.

  5. 05Confidentiality

Both parties keep each other’s non-public information confidential and use it only for this engagement.

  6. 06Client delays

Questions

Is this web design service agreement template really free?
Yes. Read it, copy it, or download it as a text file — no email, no account, no sign-up. If you want it signed, you can send it for a mobile e-signature with CloseSign.
Is this a legally binding contract?
It becomes binding once both people agree to it — ideally in writing, with a signature. This template is general information, not legal advice. For anything high-value or unusual, have a professional review it for your situation and jurisdiction.
How do I fill it in?
Replace the text in [BRACKETS] — the business and client names, the work, the price and any deposit — with your own details. Everything else is ready to use as written.
How do I get it signed?
Send the finished document to your client to sign however you like. Or paste the details into CloseSign, and it sends a link your client signs on their phone — you both get a tamper-evident PDF with an audit trail.
