Home Addition Service Agreement

This Home Addition Service Agreement ("Agreement") is made on [DATE] between [YOUR BUSINESS NAME] ("Provider") and [CLIENT NAME] ("Client").

This agreement covers a home addition or extension as described above. The work, price and any deposit are: [DESCRIBE THE WORK, THE TOTAL PRICE AND ANY DEPOSIT].

The Provider will carry out that work for the Client on the terms below.

  1. 01Scope of work

Work is limited to what is listed in this agreement. Anything else, including work discovered once walls or floors are opened, is quoted separately and agreed in writing before it starts.

  2. 02Deposit and payment schedule

A deposit is due before work begins. The balance is due on completion unless a payment schedule is set out above. Invoices are due within 14 days.

  3. 03Materials

Materials are as specified above. If a specified material is unavailable, the provider may substitute a comparable one after telling the client. Any price change is quoted before ordering.

  4. 04Timeline and delays

Dates are good-faith estimates. Weather, inspections and material lead times can move them. The provider will tell the client promptly if dates change.

  5. 05Insurance and liability

The provider carries liability insurance and is responsible for its own workmanship. The provider is not responsible for pre-existing defects or for work done by others.

  6. 06Changes and disputes

Any change to scope or price must be agreed in writing by both parties. If a dispute arises, both parties will try to resolve it directly before taking any formal step.

  7. 07Permits and inspections

The provider pulls the required building permits and schedules inspections unless agreed otherwise. Permit and inspection fees are [INCLUDED / BILLED AT COST].

  8. 08Weather and foundation

Foundation and framing dates depend on weather and inspection sign-offs. The provider will update the schedule promptly if those move the dates.

Both parties agree to the terms above.
